The Brevard Republican Executive Committee (BREC) is the official, community-based organization representing the Republican Party in Brevard County. Our mission is to strengthen and build the Republican Party.
BREC meets regularly (between 6–12 times per year) to carry out our core responsibilities, including:
- Helping Republicans win elections
- Recruiting and supporting candidates
- Promoting the values and platform of the Republican Party
- Educating and informing voters
- Growing Republican voter registration and turnout
We are not an issue advocacy organization. We seek to elect the people who make policies that align with our party principles rather than influencing public policy directly. If you are passionate about advancing a particular issue there are many clubs and conservative organizations that may align with your goals.
There are several ways to get involved with BREC, whether you want to lead, support, or simply lend a hand when you can as either a member or volunteer.
How to Become a Member
Membership in BREC is a straightforward process designed to ensure commitment, transparency, and alignment with Republican values. To qualify for Voting or Alternate membership, you must:
- Attend a BREC meeting
- Complete a membership application and Party Loyalty Oath
- Be a registered Republican for at least the previous 365 days
- Reside in the precinct for which you are applying
Once you meet these requirements, and if there is an open seat in your precinct, your application will be presented for approval at the next regular meeting you attend.
